Terms of use

These Terms apply to your use of DialogueMap for iPad. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to App Store distribution and purchase handling.

What DialogueMap does

DialogueMap helps facilitators map participation during live discussions. You place participants on a seating map, tap current speakers, and review outcomes such as talk time, turns, and session reports.

Platform scope

DialogueMap is built for iPad. Performance, layout, and controls are optimized for tablet use in classrooms, workshops, and meetings.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app as permitted by Apple's App Store terms. You may not resell, sublicense, or distribute DialogueMap as a standalone product.

Free and Plus access

The app is free to download and includes seating for up to 10 participants.

DialogueMap Plus is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase (`com.dialoguemap.plus`) that raises the cap to 50 and unlocks Plus features including CheckNotes, markers, exports, roster import, custom tables, and session packages.

Start a map is always available. For groups above the free cap, overflow participants remain in the tray until seats are available or Plus is unlocked.

Purchases and refunds

All billing, refunds, Family Sharing, and account transactions are handled by Apple under Apple policies. Use Restore Purchases in app settings when needed.

Your data and responsibility

You are responsible for lawful use of the app, including participant notice, consent, and recording compliance where required. Microphone recording is off by default.

You are also responsible for reviewing export destinations before sharing files.

Ownership

You and your institution retain ownership of your session data and exports. DialogueMap branding, UI assets, and software code remain our intellectual property.

Availability and updates

We may release updates through the App Store, including fixes, compatibility changes, and feature improvements.

Disclaimer and limits

DialogueMap is provided as is to the extent allowed by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation in every environment or workflow.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including data loss from device failure, deletion, or unavailable backups.

Termination

You may stop using DialogueMap at any time by deleting the app. These Terms remain effective until terminated by you or as required by law.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post updates on this page and revise the date above.
